Visioning Workshop for 69 School Stakeholders in Dolakha

ECCA conducted 3 days long ‘Visioning Workshop for School Stakeholders’ in two VDCs of Dolakha with an objective to bring school stakeholders together for sustainable development of schools. Envisioning of common goal and strategy development were the highlighted issues of the training while making the stakeholders aware about their crucial roles and responsibilities. The training continued from 30th of March to 1st of April, 2016 in Gairimudi and from 3rd to 5th of April, 2016 in Mirge with the target groups being representatives of School Management Committee, Parents Teachers Association, principals and child club supervising teachers. The training thus welcomed over 69 participants from 14 schools altogether.

The training opened a platform for women and parents to put their views forward in terms of school development plans. Different visioning exercises along with WASH activities helped each participant to be more conscious about the importance of water, sanitation and hygiene in their schools.

Reviewing current status of the school, the participants were guided to make a common vision statement. All school shared their ideas and success stories making them realize their roles and responsibilities towards their schools at the same time.
