EARTHQUAKE RELIEF: UPDATE 8: TENT DRIVE

The major earthquake that devastated the Central region of Nepal has rendered hundreds of thousands of families homeless. They are forced to take refuge in open spaces as most of the old houses in urban and rural areas have collapsed.  With the nearing of the monsoon season, the need of proper shelter has become urgent.

Keeping the needs of the earthquake victims in mind, ECCA has partnered with American Conservation Experience (ACE) to work towards providing tents to the victims.

ACE is collecting used tents in working condition to be sent to Nepal. In this effort, Sport Chalet has offered to match (up to $25,000) for the tents purchased from its store for this cause.

To increase support for our initiation and intensify the relief activities, we have also initiated a project in the website of Global Giving, an online fundraising platform. People all over the world with internet access can visit the project page Support Nepal Earthquake Relief and donate.

Please help us spread the word around your network and intensify the relief activities.
